CIMARRON RIVER: Fishing on the river was good using worms, bead-head pheasant tail nymphs, bead-head hare’s ears and wooly buggers. Trout fishing at the Gravel Pit Lakes was fair to good using salmon eggs and PowerBait. CONCHAS LAKE: Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow with just a few reported by anglers using tubes, worms and jigs. Fishing was good using shrimp, worms, cut bait and liver for catfish. COYOTE CREEK: Fishing was good using worms, salmon eggs and small bead-head nymphs for trout. EAGLE ROCK LAKE: Fishing was very good using Zeke’s trout bait, PowerBait, worms, salmon eggs, Pistol Petes and spinners for trout. EAGLE NEST LAKE: Fishing for trout was good trolling spinners on light weight tackle and using PowerBait from the shore and from anchored boats. Fishing was good using worms for perch. Fishing was good using large spinners and spoons and perch colored crank baits for northern pike up to 30 inches. Kokanee snagging season opens Sunday. GALLINAS RIVER: Fishing was good using bead-head prince nymphs, bead-head pheasant tail nymphs, copper John Barrs, worms and Fire Balls for trout.
