ANTONIA ORTIZ

Antonia Ortiz, age 70, passed away October 04, 2017 in her home in Albuquerque, NM.

Antonia was born on August 26, 1947 in La Joya, New Mexico to Filiberto and Frances Romero. She attended Santa Fe High School. On October 16, 1964, Antonia married her beloved husband Merejildo Ortiz in Pecos, they shared 52 blessed years together.

Mrs. Ortiz was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

Mrs. Ortiz was preceded in death by both of her parents Filiberto and Frances Romero.

She is survived by her sisters, Estella Madrid, Ida Sandoval, Isabel and Arthur Varela, Corrine and Florentino Lujan; her brothers, Eloy and Dolores Romero and Ruben Romero; her sons Robert and Brenda Ortiz; David Ortiz and June; and her daughter Amanda Ramirez and Jacob; her grandchildren Robert and wife Toni, Christopher, Melachai, Alyssa, Teresa and Martin, also her great-grandchildren Amber, Robert and Madison.

The Ortiz family appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers and support that they have received during this time and would like to say thank you to all.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 8:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church located at 9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

A Mass will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 9:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church with a reception immediately following service in the church hall.
