The hit fantasy series returns for Season 4 with “And the Dark Secret,” a new episode that finds Baird and Flynn (Rebecca Romijn, Noah Wyle, pictured) taking a big step to tether themselves to the library forever after a Season 3 that saw the eldritch facility literally at loose ends. Elsewhere this season, fans can expect to see Baird, Ezekiel, Cassandra and Stone (John Harlan Kim, Lindy Booth, Christian Kane) facing off against Santa’s brother, the Patron Saint of Thieves.

7 p.m. on FOX Empire

The drama’s fall finale, “Slave to Memory,” sees Lucious and Cookie (Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson) unite against Diana Dubois (guest star Phylicia Rashad). Taye Diggs and Demi Moore also continue their guest roles. Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray also star.

As the hit reality show returns for its fourth season, Monie dares to hope she finally has found her happily-ever-after following her wedding in Houston. Juicy, however, can’t resist dropping some hurtful informatio­n about Morlin that threatens to end Monie’s marriage almost before it starts in the season premiere, “Rumor Has It.”

A situation during the holiday season makes Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) decide to stop talking, to get a better sense of JJ’s (Micah Fowler) life, in this new episode. A meeting between Maya (Minnie Driver) and the mother (guest star Sarah Chalke, Roseanne) of Ray’s (Mason Cook) girlfriend doesn’t go as anticipate­d. Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) becomes determined to win — and then some — a supermarke­t’s turkey giveaway.

8 p.m. on NBC Golden Globes 75th Anniversar­y Special

A month before the Hollywood Foreign Press Associatio­n presents its annual honors for movies and television programs, Debra Messing and Eric McCormack serve as hosts of this new two-hour special.
