GLOW PRESENTS KIDS’ NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY: A night of child- and family-centered activities at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden from 5 to 8 p.m., including a 7 p.m. celebratio­n of New Year’s with a flower petal drop. Tickets are $10; kids 12 and under get in free. HOLIDAY TRAINS: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum, 1050 Old Pecos Trail, is bringing back its interactiv­e model train exhibit for the holidays. Visitors will take the controls, maneuver the trains and build scenery for the exhibit. The train runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children and free for infants under 1 year old. HOLIDAY CIRCUS CABARET: Wise Fool New Mexico presents a family holiday performanc­e, including trapeze, aerial fabric, puppetry, acrobatics and clown acts at the Wise Fool Studio, 1131-B Siler Road. The show is at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children, brownpaper­tickets.com. FAMILY CONCERT: Grammy-winning classical violinist Augustin Hadelich will join the Performanc­e Santa Fe Orchestra at 1 p.m. at the Lensic Performing Arts Center to play Mendelssoh­n’s lyrical Violin Concerto and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. CITY DIFFERENT NEW YEAR’S: Be part of the fun as Santa Fe says adios to 2017 at the third annual New Year’s Eve party on the Plaza. The festivitie­s begin at 9 p.m. with the Plaza warmed by stationary heaters and cozy piñon bonfires. Local musicians Sol Fire, Alex Maryol and Fun Adixx will keep the crowd rocking. In addition, Santa Fe poets will provide entertainm­ent during the music breaks. The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe will provide hot chocolate and biscochito­s. At 11:45 p.m., Mayor Javier Gonzales and city officials will address the crowd and begin the countdown to midnight, with a fireworks display. LIGHT UP A LIFE: Santa Fe Plaza. Hundreds of farolitos and candles lit in memory of loved ones; 5 p.m.; hosted by The Hospice Center of Santa Fe, Presbyteri­an Medical Services; farolitos may a be requested at the event for suggested donation of $20.
