Loretta A. Trujillo, 50, Dec. 30 Charles Edwin Brighton, Jan. 1

On December 30, 2017, our loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmothe­r, aunt, niece and fiancée Loretta A. Trujillo was called home to be with God at the age of 50. Loretta passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Loretta was born on January 21, 1967 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her grandparen­ts Manuel and Reynalda Almeida, Lorenzo and Rafaelita Trujillo, her granddaugh­ter Harper Ashmore, and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her parents, Lorenzo and Gloria Trujillo, sisters Angela Sandoval, Trish Ortiz and husband Ron, Carmella Guerrero and husband Enrique, Evanne Gallegos and husband Edward, brother Lawrence Trujillo and wife Sarah, her son Nicholas Trujillo, daughter Sara Ashmore and husband Corey, fiancée Keith Miller, grandchild­ren Stella, Abraham and Theodore, and Godparents MaryAnn Almeida-Hall and Marshall Corriz.

Loretta had numerous nieces and nephews: Jayson (James), Lawrence, Lisa, Anthony (Karlie), Kique (Samantha), Diego, Abrianna, Louis, Goddaughte­r Alexis, Candace, Lorenzoe, Christian, Miguel, Alyssa, Dezi, and Drew. She also leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She attended St. Michaels High School and retired from the Office of the Superinten­dent of Insurance. She served as a member of the Santa Fe Fiesta Council for many years and was deeply devoted to serving Our Lady of Peace Nuestra Senora La Conquistad­ora. Que viva la fiesta! She was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Pallbearer­s: Keith Miller, Nicholas Trujillo, Lawrence Trujillo, Jayson and Lawrence Sandoval, Anthony Ortiz, Kique Guerrero, Diego Garcia, Louis Gallegos and Christian Gallina.

A public viewing will be held at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary and Eulogy at 7:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 1120 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico on Thursday January 4, 2018.

A mass celebratin­g Loretta’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, 131 Cathedral Place, Santa Fe, New Mexico, followed by a procession to Rosario Cemetery for the internment on Friday, January 5, 2018.

The family would like to invite you to a reception immediatel­y following the services at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 833 Early Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made in Loretta’s name to the charity of your choice and flowers may be directed to Berardinel­li Funeral Home.
