CARMEN A. GRIEGO, 82, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away at home surrounded by her loving husband and family, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Antonio E. Griego; children, Bernardo Griego, Fernando Griego and wife Barbara, Veronica Viarreal and husband Larry, Manuel Griego and wife Chimene, Andrew Griego and wife Diane, and Vincent Griego and wife Shana; grandchild­ren, Cruzita Daniels, Gabriel Griego, Valerie Mahboob and husband Marzan, Querina Viarreal, Steven, Christophe­r, Luke and Ysabella Griego, Celina Molina, and Francisco Martinez; great grandchild­ren, Faith Daniels and Chaiohme Wilson; brothers and sister, Eduardo and Angelina Archuleta, Jose Archuleta, Lucille Gonzales and husband Gilbert, John Archuleta and wife Elvira, Daniel Archuleta and wife Angela; sister-in-law, Regina Archuleta; brother in-law, Abel Vigil, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Virginia Archuleta; sister, Anna Marie Martinez; brothers, Luis, Adelmo, and Alonzo Archuleta; sisters-in-law, Maria Archuleta, Isabel Archuleta, and Pauline Vigil; in-law(s) Juanito and Josie Griego, Carlos and Josie Baca. Carmen was a child day care provider for over 30 years and belonged to the Ninos program in conjunctio­n with employment with Las Campanas Club House. Carmen was an active member of Cristo Rey Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, Our Lady of Guadalupe Perpetual Adoration for 20 years, and CURVES. Public viewing will be 6 to 7 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Cristo Rey Church followed by Rosary led by the Cristo Rey Altar Society. Catholic Mass will be Thursday, January 11 at 10:00 AM, at Cristo Rey Church and internment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 AM. Pallbearer­s are nephews, David Griego, Mark Howley and Thomas Archuleta; grandsons, Steven, Christophe­r, and Luke Griego. Honorary pallbearer­s will be her nieces and nephews. MILDRED INEZ FREEMAN ORTEGA

MILDRED INEZ FREEMAN ORTEGA, 83 of Santa Fe, NM, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 following an extended illness. Mildred was born in Liberty, Mississipp­i and worked at the Louisiana School for the Deaf in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Here she met her future husband Ernesto Ortega. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carey and Versie Freeman. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernesto Ortega and her two daughters, Yolanda Ruth Freeman Ortega and Catherine Maria Freeman Ortega. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 10, 2018, and the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am,, both services at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1301 Osage Ave, in Santa Fe. CECILIA RODRIQUEZ MONTOYA LEPORE

Cecilia Rodriquez Montoya LePore entered the Lords Arm’s on January 3, 2018. One of Ernestina and Pedro Rodriquez 9 children, born in Santa Fe New Mexico on 6/29/43. She was survived by her husband Anthony LePore, 6 children, 25 grandchild­ren and 26 great grandchild­ren and counting.

She lived her entire life for others. Raised her own children while also taking in everyone else in need. A retired APS elementary teacher of 40 years, teaching the minds and hearts of many. Very devoted in her faith as an extremely active member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Pecos New Mexico and the legion of Mary.

Services will be held at St. Anthony’s at #11 St. Anthonys Loop Pecos New Mexico. Visitation is at 10:30 on Wednesday, January 10th followed by a Rosary at 11:00 with a Mass at 12:00 and a Reception following Mass.
