7 p.m. on FOX The Gifted
Stopping Dr. Campbell (guest star Garret Dillahunt, pictured) from making his anti-mutant initiative a national cause is the mission for many of the major characters in the series’ two-hour season finale, combining the episodes “eXtraction” and “X-roads.” As Polaris (Emma Dumont) makes discoveries and a big decision, the mutants’ headquarters is targeted. Skyler Samuels and Sharon Gless also reprise their guest roles. Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale and Jamie Chung also star.
7 p.m. on NGEO Chain of Command
Chris Evans (“The Avengers”) narrates this new eight-part documentary series that examines the U.S. military’s determined mission to fight violent extremism across the world. Filmed over 18 months, the series opens with “By, With & Through,” set in Mosul, Iraq, where Capt. Quincy Bahler of the 101st Airborne Division monitors ISIS fighters via drone feeds, alongside Iraqi generals. They’re looking for the optimal opportunity to strike, in a prolonged attempt to liberate this city.

Military veteran Shamar S. White wrote the new episode “Command & Control,” which puts Nora and Gallo (Christina Ochoa, Matt Barr) at odds when Col. Haskins (Nigel Thatch) decides which of their plans he wants to initiate. Charlie Barnett, W. Tre Davis and Corbin Reid also star.
8 p.m. on DSC Street Outlaws: Memphis
This new spinoff of the hit series
Street Outlaws focuses on JJ Da Boss and his circle of family and friends who have raced some of the meanest streets in the South for decades now. Among the other featured personalities are JJ’s wife, Tricia, aka “Midget,” and Precious, JJ’s cousin, who is known locally as “Queen of the Streets.” These are just three of the larger-than-life characters who bring colorful personal histories on and off the track to this show.
9 p.m. on NBC The Brave
Noah (Tate Ellington) assumes command of operations from the sidelined Patricia (Anne Heche) in the new episode “Grounded,” and he faces an immediate challenge when an airplane is hijacked by revolutionaries in Colombia. The peril facing the passengers draws Hannah (Sofia Pernas) back into action. Brett Tucker
