Another DC Comics character joins the CW series lineup with this premiere, titled “The Resurrection,” as Cress Williams, pictured, (Hart of
Dixie) plays a charter-high-school principal who left his days as a crime-fighting vigilante long in the past. Or so he thought: The activities of a gang prompt him to take up his secret crusade for justice again, to protect both his family and the community at large. The show’s executive producers include Girlfriends alums Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil.

Cassi Davis and LaVan Davis reprise their House of Payne roles as Ella and Curtis Payne in this new spinoff comedy series that premieres tonight with two back-to-back episode. A death in the family takes the couple to Florida, where Curtis gets roped into an ill-advised realestate deal that turns their lives upside down. Emmy winner Jackee Harry co-stars, along with Stephanie Charles, Markice Moore, JD McCrary, Sanai Victoria and Anthony O. Dalton.
