6 p.m. on NBC 2018 Winter Olympics
Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, above, comes into Pyeongchang recovering from an injury suffered last fall, one that kept him out of practice until just a month before the Olympics. How healthy is he and will time away from practice affect his performance? These are the big questions as the men’s short program gets under way. Also on the program are snowboarding, skeleton, freestyle skiing and cross-country skiing.
6 p.m. on FREE Beyond
Holden (Burkely Duffield) seeks Charlie’s (Eden Brolin) help in understanding his connection with the Realm, but she is evasive as far as explaining why she is back in Fort Reed in the new episode “Bedposts.” Elsewhere, Jeff (Jeff Pierre) digs up some information on the mysterious Edgar (Jay Paulson) and how he may be connected to Holden.
7 p.m. on NGEO Life Below Zero
The warm season is drawing to a close, prompting Alaskans to travel on foot and by boat to wherever they can stockpile enough resources to make it through the unforgiving winter months that lie ahead in the season finale “Close Encounter.” That includes taking advantage of final access to migrating moose and fish before the rivers freeze solid and daylight gives way to winter darkness. They have to be careful, though, because other creatures as looking for food, too.
8 p.m. on A&E 60 Days In
Unable to deal with the chronic stress of their undercover lives in Atlanta’s high-risk Fulton County Jail, two participants wrestle with their decision over whether to just leave the program early in a new episode called “See Nothing, Say Nothing.” Meanwhile, the rest of the participants just try to focus on the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel as they finish the back end of their time in the facility.

Bird Oscar nominee Laurie Metcalf are among the returning stars who comment on their characters then and now — with clips from the series, also then and now, illustrating their observations about the fictional Conner family.
