The opening hour is set in Hellertown, Pa., where a racist video posted on Snapchat ignites a fight between students at a local high school. The second hour revisits a violent incident aboard a commuter train in Oregon, where a man shouting racist slurs attacks three passengers. 8 p.m. on WGNA Shoot the Messenger After Daisy (Elyse Levesque) recovers from the attack in Hassan’s apartment, she tries to identify the people in the photo, which has gone missing, in the new episode “There Will Be Blood.” After Attorney General Sam Charles (Ari Cohen) launches an investigation into police corruption, a young girl is killed in an act of retaliation for Khaalid’s death. 8:17 p.m. on DSC Shifting Gears With Aaron Kaufman Aaron Kaufman, who drew an impressive fan base via his appearances on

Now he returns, this time as the boss, in his own show, based in his Dallas shop, Arclight Fabrication, where Aaron is able finally to take on the kinds of concepts and builds of which he’s always dreamed. His hand-picked team of builders includes Josh Freeman, Jonathan Rodriguez, Jason Bowman, Jeremy Webster and Jonathan Mansour. 8:30 p.m. on CBS Living Biblically Chip (Jay R. Ferguson) doesn’t have a traditional reason for detaching from his smartphone in the new episode “False Idol,” as Father Gene and Rabbi Gil (Ian Gomez, David Krumholtz) suggest that his devotion to the device is a form of worship. Each has her own problems, too: Beth (Hendricks) tries to adjust to single-parenthood, Annie (Whitman) faces a setback in her custody battle, and Ruby’s (Retta) worries about Sara’s (Lidya Jewett) health deepen.
