7 p.m. on HIST The Men Who Built America: Frontiersm­en A four-part prequel to the award-winning limited series The Men Who Built

America chronicles key moments in the early, volatile years of America. The saga starts with “Part 1,” as the Revolution­ary War breaks out and the conflict spreads beyond the colonies into the remote wild frontier. Daniel Boone undertakes a bitter struggle to ensure the future of his settlement, taking a stand that becomes a fight for the future of America itself. 8 p.m. on ID Homicide City The affluent Philadelph­ia Mainline rarely sees violent crime, so the whole neighborho­od is shaken when two residents are found murdered inside their mansion in the new “Main Line Massacre.” One of the victims turns out to be the CEO of Lockheed Airlines, and as fear and lurid rumors spread like wildfire, investigat­ors begin to discover other crimes that fit the same criminal profile. Unfortunat­ely, their unidentifi­ed quarry seems to be staying one step ahead of police. 8 p.m. on PARMT Heathers This dark new comedy series revisits — and, to a large extent, reinvents — the 1988 cult movie starring Winona Ryder as a teenager who declares war on three beautiful yet toxic blondes. This new rendering stars Grace Victoria Cox, pictured, as Veronica Sawyer (Ryder’s character) who becomes involved with three “Heathers” who, this time, are from marginaliz­ed communitie­s: Heather McNamara (Jasmine Mathews), who is black; Heather Chandler (Melanie Field), a plus-sized force of nature, and Heath “Heather” Duke (Brendan Scannell), her gay sidekick. 8 p.m. on SUND Hap and Leonard: The Two-Bear Mambo Set in East Texas shortly before Christmas 1989, this third season of the scripted anthology series, adapted from books by Joe R. Lansdale, finds Hap and Leonard (returning series regulars James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams) scrambling to find attorney Florida Grange (Tiffany Mack), who has gone missing in the KKK-infested town of Grovetown. Their quest puts the duo at odds with a colorful assortment of rough, dangerous characters. Louis Gossett Jr., Corbin Bernsen and Andrew Dice Clay also star. 8:01 p.m. on A&E Rooster & Butch In a new episode called “The Big Little Lie,” a single mother who’s determined to make the world a better, safer place pitches a dashcam device loaded with features designed to monitor a variety of driver activities in real time. Butch arranges for her to set up at his pipe yard to evaluate how safe and efficient his workers are. What she reveals instead is an unexpected pattern of deceit.
