Red (James Spader) tackles his pursuit of Ian Garvey (guest star Jonny Coyne) from a different angle. The Task Force zeroes in on those responsible for Tom’s death. Harry Lennix also stars.

Fred (Luke Perry) mulls a run for mayor of Riverdale, as Archie (KJ Apa) worries about the Lodges’ possible role in that move, in a new episode with the foreboding title “Chapter Twenty-Eight: There Will Be Blood.” Jughead (Cole Sprouse) continues his quest against Hiram (Mark Consuelos). Betty (Lili Reinhart) recruits Kevin (Casey Cott) to help her find out what Chic (guest star Hart Denton) is up to. Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch also star.

Hoarding goes too far for some people in the tellingly titled new episode “Trapped,” as their extreme collecting leaves them unable to get out of their house, requiring the first responders’ assistance. Other cases revolve around a homeless man injured inside a garbage truck, and a mother and son hurt in a faulty elevator. Abby’s (Connie Britton, pictured) mother (guest star Mariette Hartley) may impact her relationship with Buck (Oliver Stark). Angela Bassett also stars.

President Kirkman’s (Kiefer Sutherland) visit to a prison becomes a media sensation in the new episode “Original Sin,” sending his staff into immediate action to try to control the story. As this highly intense chronicle of two lives on a fatal collision course reaches its penultimate episode with the new “Creator/Destroyer,” the action shifts back to a much earlier time in the lives of serial killer Andrew Cunanan and his future victim, Gianni Versace, as the former struggles with an unbearable father, while the latter begins his professional life as a designer.
