A determined Jace (Dominic Sherwood) goes on a hunt to find out who is targeting Simon (Alberto Rosende), while Clary (Katherine McNamara) tries to do her part by asking Luke (Isaiah Mustafa) for his assistance in the new episode “Stronger Than Heaven.” Meanwhile, Alec (Matthew Daddario) starts to fret about the future of his relationsh­ip with Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) after he learns more about his lover’s eventful romantic past. However, the wedding leads Riggs and Murtaugh (Clayne Crawford, pictured, and Damon Wayans Sr.) into the search for a missing person. Riggs also has an unexpected reunion, and Murtaugh gets news that could shake up his entire life.

7 p.m. on DIY Holmes: Next Generation

Fan favorite contractor Mike Holmes returns in a new series that’s a family affair as he teams up with son Mike Jr. and daughter Sherry — both home renovation experts in their own right — to carry on a profession­al Holmes tradition: rescuing hapless homeowners from residences that have become dysfunctio­nal, DIY projects gone off the rails and shady contractor­s who have done them wrong. DIY Network has ordered six episodes for this inaugural season.

8 p.m. on CW Black Lightning

The of concludes DC latest Comics-inspired addition its first season to The superhero with CW’s “Shadow dynasty shows of Death: The Book of War” — and that title alone indicates that more torment, mental as well as physical, is likely to be in store for the series’ central hero (played by Cress Williams). Those closest to him are likely to feel the heat, too, as Tobias (Marvin Jones III) regroups.

9 p.m. on ABC For the People

The case of a man accused of stealing supplies destined for hurricane victims pits Allison (Jasmin Savoy Brown) against a formidable federal attorney (guest star Olivia Sandoval) in the new episode “Everybody’s a Superhero.” Kate (Susannah Flood) counsels an ATF agent who’s seeking legal advice for someone. Sandra (Britt Robertson) represents an assault suspect who has a hard time grasping reality.
