ALICE LOUISE SENA

Alice Louise Sena, 89, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully at home surrounded family on May 10, 2018. She was born on Oct. 8, 1928, in Las Vegas, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Sena, son David Dennis Sena (Pudgy), granddaugh­ter Stephanie A. Garcia and sonin-law Robert (Bob) Archuleta.

She is survived by her children, Ray Daniel Sena (RoseAnn), Yolanda Archuleta, Melinda Davey (Richard), Karla Roybal (Reynaldo) and Lawrenc Sena, 13 grandchild­ren, 21 great grandchild­ren and five great great grandchild­ren.

Alice met Dave and married on May 20, 1946, and raised six children. Alice opened and operated Buster Brown Shoe Store, the Village Shop, Pauline’s and Karla’s Sportswear. She worked alongside Dave in the school and Charter Transporta­tion business most recently El Mercadito “El Ropo de Santa Fe.” She was a business owner of 56 years. Alice, a prominent and well-respected business woman, helped people and was heavily involved in several community organizati­ons, president of the Democratic Women’s Club, president of the Hispano Chamber of Commerce, active in the GI Forum, NM status of women, Image and LULUC.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at Berardinel­li Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa St. Santa Fe NM 87505 505-9848600. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, 131 Cathedral Place in Santa Fe. Burial will follow at 1:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe.
