LOCAL ANNOUNCEMENTS Basketball

Pecos High School’s girls basketball program has one spot available for its junior varsity/C-team summer league. The league begins June 4 and plays regularly on June 13, 20 and 27. Cost is $130 for the league. It also is holding a car wash fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Big Joe’s True Value on Siler Road in Santa Fe. The cost is $10, and the team will also sell baked goods, Frito pies and other food items. For more information on the league and the event, call coach Ron Drake at 505-281-6443.
