Terry Alan France passed away peacefully in his home in Nambe New Mexico on April 4, 2018 after a sustained illness.

Alan was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 10, 1940. He was a devoted nurse for over 10 years in Southern California, and a lifelong artist, interior designer and business man. He moved to New Mexico in 1992 and opened the El Rancho de Nambe, a furniture and interior design retail store in Cuyamungue, New Mexico which he ran with his partner Salvador Ruiz for 18 years. He is survived by his youngest brother Greg France, wife Patti, Nephews Brendan, Brady and Stephen France, Niece Maribeth France, sister in law Mary Kay France, his God Son Juan Daniel Ruiz Cueva and God Daughter Alicia J. Zaens Ruiz and by his former partner Salvador Ruiz. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Florence France, and his middle brother Stephen France.

Alan will be remembered for his tenacity to set and reach his life goals, for his tireless creativity, his witty humor, and for his generous heart.

His ashes will be taken to his favorite spot "Puerto Vallarta, Mexico".

A memorial service will take place on July 21 2018 at the home of Roger Montoya and Salvador Ruiz in Velarde.
