The show was developed from a project that host and executive producer Baldoni made for digital distribution.

The new documentary series about aspiring soccer stars continues with “Goalkeepers,” detailing one of the most pivotal jobs on any team in the sport. Among those featured as the program follows the quest of athletes from various nations to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup: Dele Alli, Davinson Sanchez, Marco Asensio, Paulo Dybala, Gabriel Jesus, Ousmane Dembele, Adrien Rabiot, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso, Hirving Lozano and Marquinhos.
