GARDEN SPROUTS: Stories and handson activities for children ages 3 to 5 with a caregiver from 9 to 10 a.m., weather permitting; sponsored by the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the Railyard Park Conservanc­y. Meet at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden on Museum Hill, 725 Camino Lejo; $5 suggested donation; free to members and children under 12.

STORY TIME: The Vista Grande Public Library in Eldorado, 14 Avenida Torreon, presents a story time for preschoole­rs and toddlers at 11 am. Children and caregivers can enjoy stories, crafts and activities. Free and open to all families in the community.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT: The Vista Grande Public Library in Eldorado, 14 Avenida Torreon, presents a free 7 p.m. screening of A Wrinkle in Time, which is rated PG. Popcorn provided.

SOLAR ASTRONOMY: Children are invited to view solar activity on the surface of the sun with special telescopes (weather permitting) and other activities at the Main Library, 145 Washington Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PEACE PETS: Visit the Southside Branch Library, 6599 Jaguar Drive, at 3:30 p.m. to learn about Peace Pets Exotic Animal Rescue and the exotic pets it helps.

OPEN ART STUDIO AT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM: From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., the museum, at 1050 Old Pecos Trail, hosts weekly exploratio­ns into the arts with special guests and hands-on activities. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children and free for infants.
