REAL ID FREE LEGAL FAIR
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 21 Who: The public: first come, first served Where: Barelas Community Center, 801 Barelas Road SW, Albuquerque
The following services will be available at the fair.
Identify the documents needed for each individual
Review documents brought to the fair to ensure they meet the requirements
Inform individuals if other documents are needed
Assist in filling out the documents for a name change or amendment to birth certificate
Provide referrals for legal representation in court if needed
Food trucks, UNM School of Law admissions, (dial) 3-1-1 services for the city of Albuquerque, plus volunteers from Organizing in the Land of Enchantment, a community organizing group based out of Albuquerque, will be available to help people update their voter registration.
To get the best help, individuals must bring documents with them to the fair (requirements for a Real ID are listed on the MVD website):
Proof of identification number (such as a Social Security card, a W-2 form, a pay stub or a passport)
Proof of identity and age (such as a passport, birth certificate or permanent resident card); and
