Q: Please settle an argument. On “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” is Guillermo the announcer related to Kimmel? – Sue Keller, via e-mail

A: No, other than as employee and employer. Guillermo Rodriguez is the security guard for the ABC show’s parking lot, apart from his on-air duties that came to be gradually. The confusion here may be that Kimmel’s late uncle Frank Potenza also was a security guard for the program who appeared regularly on it.

Q: What happened to “Madam Secretary”? Will it be back? – Charlotte Wolff, Boynton Beach, Fla.

A: It will. CBS typically hasn’t repeated the Tea Leoni-starring political drama in the summer, and it was missing for a chunk of the past television season (which we know from our mail that its fans noticed). However, it has been renewed for a fifth year, and it will return Oct. 7 in the end-ofSunday-night slot that it’s been holding lately.

As “The Bacheloret­te” winds down its current season, how do you think Becca Kufrin has fared as the person handing out roses to suitors?

I think she’s doing amazingly well. I knew she was going to be a great “Bacheloret­te,” and I just wanted everyone to see it. I’m happy that everybody else is getting to see all the sides to her, and of her, that make her such a great woman.

She’s the whole package. She’s funny and she’s self-deprecatin­g, but she’s vulnerable and honest. She also walks that fine line of being tough and handling her own business, which you’ve seen. She doesn’t mind putting guys in their own places, so by no means is she weak. At times, you’re emotional and you cry, but at other times, you’ve got to buck up. I love that she can do both.
