Robert J. Romero, age 52 passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2018. Robert was born and raised in Santa Fe. He is preceded in death by his grandfather. His spirit lives on through his wife and two daughters, his parents, two brothers and their families and his grandmother.

Rob is most well known for his love of all things outdoors - more specifically his strange obsession with climbing on his mountain bike.

He was always driven by challenges which contributed to his success in raising two daughters and creating a family he was proud of. Rob was an inspiring teacher and motivated others to follow their own pursuit of perfection.

His family will remember him most for his passion for discovering music, endless analytics, love of red Chile, El Parasol Thursday night tacos, and his classic dad jokes.

Celebrate his life on August 8th, 2018. The rosary will begin at 9am with a funeral mass at 10am at Cristo Rey Church. This will be followed by a reception across the street from the church at Water History Park. Tables and chairs will be provided, but you are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Rob would also encourage you to bring a bike, as Dale Ball is around the corner.

Due to the circumstances of Rob’s death and safety of the family, their names have been kept from this obituary.
