Saturday, Sept. 8

‘DESFILE DE LOS NIÑOS’ (PET PARADE) 9 to 10:45 a.m., Santa Fe Plaza and surroundin­g streets Desfile de los Niños, otherwise known as the pet parade, has been an annual tradition since the early 1920s. About 2,000 children in costumes participat­e in the parade, with thousands of supporters and tourists looking on. The event culminates with an awards ceremony on the Plaza. BANDSTAND ON THE PLAZA 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., Santa Fe Plaza GRAN BAILE FEATURING PERFECT STRANGR 7:30 p.m., Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy St. Held in honor of the Fiesta royalty. Music by Perfect Strangr. Tickets $20. Tickets will be available for purchase at the informatio­n booth (Labor Day and Fiesta weekend) and at the entertainm­ent bandstand at the gazebo on the Plaza.
