The left’s misrepresentation of facts, words

I’ve often wondered what society might have been like living through the fall of old Germany and Italy in the 1920s and ’30s. Unfortunately, I’m beginning to get a sense of that idea, by watching TV. It’s amazing to see how ignorance rules, where history and facts are lost.

The left and its ally antifa, the far-leftleaning militant groups that resist neo-Nazis and white supremacists, actually are using a playbook from another century and misrepresenting history and its terminology to promote their positions. When those on the left are confronted, they always seem to revert to using three basic terms in response: fascist, racist and Nazi, to act as a diversion to stop any intellectual conversations.

In its simplest terms, a fascist is a follower of a political philosophy with authoritative views and with a strong national government. Antifa operates under the disguise of being “anti-fascist,” but in reality, due to ignorance or planning, they are using the old fascist techniques of the 1920 Blackshirts of Italy: hatred, violence, intimidation, profanity, assaults, vandalism, brawls, physical confrontation, and physical threats to officials and their families. If old Italian fascists opposed Marxist socialists, are modern “anti-fascists” socialist? Their above actions are meant to deny people their right to speak and assemble in peaceful debate. Only the “masked marvels” of antifa matter. The greatest mass murders were Marxist-Socialists.

The next favorite term the left enjoys to throw is the word “racist.” According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are five races; Hispanic and Islamic are not among them. They are ethnicities. The left continues to confuse the concept of race and culture.

But the most disturbing is the total overuse of “Nazi.” By overusing it, the term becomes diluted and many young folks have no concept what a Nazi represented — Gestapo, Holocaust, mass murder of 17 million, concentration and death camps, mobile murder squads and German racial superiority. It should be noted that the term “Nazi” actually stands for “National Socialist German Workers’ Party.”

The question becomes, why are these radical groups becoming more prevalent and louder? As a kid, everything seemed to be aimed toward uniting the ethnicities and racial groups as Americans. But today it appears the exact opposite is the norm. As an example, in Los Angeles, a new screenplay is being rewritten concerning The Diary of Anne Frank. Except, here the main villains are not the Nazis, but Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Ignorance or planning? History is aggressively being altered to achieve the left’s goals. How is it that someone can be a patriot, religious, carry an American flag, believe in the Bill of Rights and be labeled extreme right?

The major cause is the breakdown of our educational system, where traditional historical facts are being altered, spoon fed or forgotten. Here the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many. Just remember, today’s students are tomorrow’s teachers and leaders. As a result, ignorance builds upon ignorance and facts become distant memories. Educational breakdown leads to a societal breakdown and a corruption of traditions and values.

The puppeteers of the ignorant and narcissistic are merely following the methods of the Bolsheviks, Mussolini’s Blackshirts, Germany’s Brownshirts and the anti-war protesters of the 1960s. There is no limit, when selectively using history, by misrepresenting facts and words. Quoting Ronald Reagan, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
