7 p.m. on CW Masters of Illusion They’ve got magic to do, just for you, in a new episode called “All About the Benjamins and One Switcheroo,” as host Dean Cain welcomes a diverse slate of illusionists and sleightof-hand masters to perform in front of a live studio audience. Among the performers aiming to keep their spectators amused and entertained, if occasionally baffled, are Shoot Ogawa, Jarrett and Raja, Rick Smith Jr., Joshua Jay, Spidey, Bill Cook, Greg Frewin and Tommy Wind. 7 p.m. on HGTV My Lottery Dream Home David Bromstad, pictured, returns for a new season of this feel-good reality series. In the season premiere, David meets a Florida couple who won millions via a scratch-off ticket. Currently renters, they want a roomy home with a pool for entertaining, while their teenage daughter hopes for enough land around the place to ride horses. 8:30 p.m. on ESPN College Football Pac-12 Conference play gets underway at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles where the USC Trojans host the Washington State Cougars. It was the Cougars who last year upset the fifth-ranked Trojans as they got off to a 6-0 start and eventually finished 9-4. USC, meanwhile, is beginning another chapter with true freshman quarterback JT Daniels, a five-star recruit, taking over as the signal caller in the shadow of Sam Darnold’s departure to the NFL. 9 p.m. on PBS Art in the Twenty-First Century Season 9 of this enthralling visual arts series visits three new cities with a vibrant art scene to explore the relationship between local artists and place — specifically, the one in which they live and work. In the first of tonight’s new back-to-back hours, the series travels to Johannesburg, South Africa, the artistic capital of the continent’s sub-Saharan region. The four featured artists come from different places, yet they all want to use their art to pursue their visions for a beautiful future. 12:30 a.m. on HBO Animals Temporarily on the outs with each other, rat buddies Mike and Phil are forced to reunite after they receive a strange missive summoning them to “The Democratic Republic of Kitty City,” which is a feline section of town that’s walled off from the outside world. If nothing else, the journey there gives the erstwhile buddies a chance to rehash their personal issues.
