With tempers already frayed by temperatur­es on the hottest day of the year, the first responders struggle to maintain their cool while responding to a string of harrowing events around the city in part one of the Season 2 premiere, “Under Pressure.” The incidents include an eruption of road rage involving a van load of tourists, a veteran who has a live grenade embedded in his leg and an emergency at an automotive repair shop. 6 p.m. on LIFE Movie: Conrad & Michelle: If Words Could Kill Based on real-life events, this disturbing 2018 drama charts a turbulent teenage romance that ends in tragedy. Meeting during a family vacation, Michelle Carter and Conrad P. Roy (Bella Thorne, Austin P. McKenzie), both of whom have profound emotional problems, find comfort in each other. After returning to their hometowns, they communicat­e mainly through text messages. When Conrad, in the grip of suicidal compulsion­s, reaches out to Michelle, she responds in a horrific manner.

Abby (Meghan Ory) is surprised to find herself developing a special connection with her latest client — her ex-husband Wes’ (Michael K. Richards) fiancee — in the new episode “All Our Tomorrows.” Elsewhere, Jess’s (Laci O’Malley) life is upended by some devastatin­g news about the inn, which she fears will affect everything she considers important, including her future with David (Carlo Marks).

This acclaimed reboot of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s chronicle of plucky Anne Shirley’s (Ella Ballentine, pictured) life adventures continues in a new installmen­t, as Anne moves to Charlottet­own, her province’s capital city, where she almost immediatel­y is overwhelme­d by the quicker pace of her strange surroundin­gs, as well as her classes at teacher’s college. As her romance with Gilbert (Drew Haytaoglu) continues to deepen, back at Green Gables Matthew and Marilla (Martin Sheen, Sara Botsford) struggle with health and financial difficulti­es.

8 p.m. on ABC The $100,000 Pyramid

Season 3 of this Michael Strahanhos­ted game show reboot wraps with a two-hour finale that opens with a face-off between Jenna Fischer and Oliver Hudson (Splitting Up Together). That first hour also includes a rivalry between two U.S. Olympic athletes, figure skater Johnny Weir and gymnast Gabby Douglas. Hour two leads off with Vivica A. Fox against Ross Mathews, followed by a round between actor Matt McGorry and Kelly Osbourne.
