Experience: Children’s Court attorney and assistant district attorney for 8th Judicial District in Taos, 1991-98; senior trial prosecutor, 8th Judicial District, 1999-2000; Office of the Attorney General Criminal Appeals Division attorney, 2000-17; state Supreme Court Appellate Rules Committee, 2015-present; currently has a contract reviewing officer-involved shootings in the 2nd Judicial District.

Personal: Born and raised in Taos; lives in Albuquerqu­e. Married 21 years to Erik Storms, with 15-year-old daughter. Enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, camping and hiking in the San Juan National Forest and elsewhere.

I bring the character, experience and profession­al skills that New Mexicans depend on from their judiciary. What sets you apart from from your opponent? “I chose to dedicate over 24 years of my career to serving our community. … While working for the people of New Mexico, I gained extensive trial and appellate experience. … When my opponent and I submitted our applicatio­ns to the Judicial Selection Commission in November 2016, I had already worked on over 150 appellate cases. My opponent reported having worked on 22 appeals.”
