Personal: Raised in Chicago, came to New Mexico in 1999 when her father accepted a job in Albuquerqu­e, where she still lives. Enjoys getting outside, running and rock climbing around the state. Cofounder, Albuquerqu­e Involved, community service nonprofit, 2013-17.

Why are you the best candidate for the post? “I am an experience­d trial and appellate attorney and I have the realworld perspectiv­e to serve New Mexicans as a fair and unbiased judge. … I bring my core values of honesty, integrity and independen­ce to the court — the same qualities that have governed my law practice.”

What sets you apart from your opponent? “I’ve spent my career mastering my field and representi­ng real people all over the state. … I have dedicated much of my career to cases that deal with the financial exploitati­on of the elderly, consumer protection and insurance law. … I have excelled at the research and writing that are necessary to crafting clear opinions that litigants, attorneys and courts can use and apply in future cases.”
