2018 Soul Train Awards Taped Nov. 17 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., actress-singers Tisha Campbell and Tichina Martin host this annual ceremony recognizin­g artists in 12 different categories. Among the special honors, Erykah Badu receives the Legend Award, while the Lady of Soul Award goes to Faith Evans. Among the nominees in competitio­n, Daniel Caesar, Jorja Smith, Kali Uchis, Leon Thomas, Normani and Queen Naija vie to be named best new artist. Movie: A Shoe Addict’s Christmas Candace Cameron Bure, pictured, stars in this holiday fantasy as Noelle, who’s feeling frustrated as Christmas approaches. She’s still unsuccessf­ully chasing a more satisfying career, and she’d love to be closer to her father. So when she gets locked in while working late at her department store job, she thinks little of it — until a quirky lady suddenly appears announcing she’s Noelle’s guardian angel.

As high school sweetheart­s, Isabelle and Mike (Tatyana Ali, Cornelius Smith Jr.) rocked their delighted audience each year with a duet at the local Christmas Eve Pageant. After graduation, Isabelle left Mike behind to study at the Juilliard School in New York. Now, years later, Isabelle makes a trip back home, this time to write the music for that same yuletide event — which, in one of those TV-movie coincidenc­es, is being directed by Mike.

Jillian (Kali Hawk) is such a good political consultant she can “spin” almost any situation, and as this new holiday fantasy opens, she’s about to launch the mayoral campaign of her boyfriend, George (Damon Dayoub). As she’s heading off on a Christmas trip to meet George’s family for the first time, Jillian has an uncanny encounter with a toy-store Santa that leaves her with an inconvenie­nt new compulsion: She can’t stop blurting out the truth.

Adapted from an addictive truecrime podcast by Los Angeles Times reporter Christophe­r Goffard, this eight-episode limited series stars Connie Britton as Southern California interior designer and single mom, who is quickly swept off her feet by handsome Dr. John Meehan (Eric Bana).
