Now, nine years later, this two-hour special looks back at the tragedy, which culminated in Josh’s murder of his two young sons and subsequent suicide after he lost custody of the boys.

These stories are juxtaposed against the ongoing national debate about the energy future of the United States, particularly in light of the Trump administration’s explosive decision to abandon the Paris climate agreement.

When her father, Marty (guest star Patrick Duffy), surprises the Otto family with a Christmas visit, Katie (Katy Mixon, pictured) desperately tries to keep him away from her mother (guest star Wendie Malick) in the new yuletidethemed episode “Saving Christmas.” Anna-Kat (Julia Butters) tries to help heartsick Trip (Peyton Meyer) woo back Taylor (Meg Donnelly), but Pierce (guest star Milo Manheim) isn’t inclined to bow out.

Ian McFarland’s 2017 documentary charts the rise and fall — and unlikely subsequent rebirth — of a band that is widely regarded as the “founding fathers” of the New York hardcore music scene. Founded in the early 1980s, the group personified the violence, drugs and tragedy of the Lower East Side community that spawned them. In a musical genre that also included such bands as Bad Brains and Beastie Boys, Agnostic Front defiantly charted their own path.

With Christmas fast approaching, Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) struggles to figure out a way to tell her kids, Sophie and Danny (Lizzie Green, Chance Hurstfield), that she is pregnant in the midseason finale “Christmas Wishlist.” Although this holiday season feels strange and sobering owing to Jon’s (Ron Livingston) absence, the gang comes together in an earnest effort to help the rest of Jon’s family embrace the yuletide spirit.
