2019 NBA All-Star Saturday Night The NBA’s 69th All-Star game is one day away, which means tonight is all about showing off. Expect All-Stars like Giannis Antetokoun­mpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Kawhi Leonard of the Toronto Raptors to strut their stuff. The skills challenge and three-point shooting contest are always interestin­g, but what really excites the fans is the slam-dunk contest, won last year by Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.

Planet Earth: Dynasties The finale of this breathtaki­ng nature series about family dynamics in the wild wraps up its first season with an episode devoted to a colony of emperor penguins, who gather in Atka Bay on the coast of Antarctica after three months of hearty feeding at sea. The sea is freezing over and all other life has left Antarctica as another brutal winter prepares to slam into the landscape. The penguins are here to welcome a new generation. They’ll be safe, as long as they pull together against the elements.

Movie: Midnight Sun Adapted from a 2006 Japanese film with the same title, Scott Speer’s 2018 romantic drama stars Bella Thorne as Katie Price, a teenager who suffers from a rare condition that prevents her from going out into the sunlight. Her days are spent housebound, with only her father (Rob Riggle) and best friend (Quinn Shephard) for occasional company. A sensitive hunk (Patrick Schwarzene­gger) falls for her after they meet on a series of nighttime dates, but he doesn’t know that Katie faces a grim future.
