Humans are lucky enough to spend most of their lives atop the animal world food chain, but Season 3 of this hit series offers fresh reminders of what can happen when humans venture onto a turf that’s shared by a dangerous critter.
In the season premiere, Jeremy Sutcliffe is working in his garden outside Corpus Christi, Texas, when a rattlesnake bite puts him on the brink of death. In another segment, a bull shark blindsides spearfisherman Ken Bonde in the Bahamas, tearing the calf muscle right out of his leg.

David Makes Man
Created by Oscar-winning screenwriter Terell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), this new semiautobiographical drama series revolves around a 14-year-old boy (Akili McDowell) from the South Florida projects who’s haunted by the death of his closest friend. He also feels responsible for finding a way to help his exhausted mother (Alana Arenas) climb out of poverty, a quest that forces him to decide between working the streets where he grew up or aspiring to a higher education that could deliver freedom.

Six New Ways to Die in America This 2019 documentary from Emmy winner Matthew O’Neill and Perri Peltz explore changing attitudes, rituals and mechanics of death on the part of most Americans, who in 2018 for the first time favored cremation over traditional funerals and burials. Topics include the option for terminally ill patients to use medical assistance to shorten final suffering, ways to honor loved ones as they are going through their final days and unique celebrations of the life of departed loved ones.

Krypton
The future of Krypton is at stake as Seg (Cameron Cuffe) faces off against his enemy, General Zod (Colin Salmon), with the help of his allies as this Superman prequel wraps up Season 2 with a finale called “The Alpha and the Omega.” Leading man Cuffe calls it “the biggest episode we’ve ever done. The civil war escalates. It’s a culmination of Zod, the house of El and Doomsday unleashed.”
