Never-before-heard recordings by Judy Garland are incorporat­ed into this new documentar­y from filmmaker Stephen Kijak about the singer’s stormy marriage to Sid Luft, the third of her husbands and father of her children Sid and Lorna Luft. The film, narrated by Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh, chronicles the couple’s turbulent union, revealing how Garland’s vulnerabil­ities were exploited by a Hollywood film industry she played a big part in building.

Sheila E. hosts the fourth annual “GRAMMY Salute to Music Legends,” a two-hour special that was filmed last May at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Dionne Warwick, who also performs her signature tune “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” is among the 2019 honorees, along with Black Sabbath, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Billy Eckstine, Julio Iglesias, Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, Donny Hathaway and Sam and Dave, among others.

Midnight a.m. COM COMEDY CENTRAL STAND-UP PRESENTS...

A new season of this hit comedy series launches with two new back-to-back half-hour stand-up sets by rising stars, performing once again from the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, where previous episodes also were shot. First up is Jaboukie Young-White, a gay comic whom viewers may recognize from his appearance­s as a correspond­ent on “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.” He also has written for the Netflix series “Big Mouth” and “American Vandal.” Immediatel­y following, comic and writer Vanessa Gonzalez takes the stage.
