This spinoff of Riverdale revolves around aspiring fashion icon Katy Keene (Lucy Hale, Pretty Little Liars), who chases her career dreams in New York with her friends: budding pop star Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), gender-fluid artist Jorge/ Ginger Lopez (Jonny Beauchamp, Penny Dreadful), and It Girl Pepper Smith (Julia Chan). Katy’s vibrant world also includes a host of diverse personalit­ies played by Katherine LaNasa, Lucien Laviscount, Camille Hyde and Zane Holtz, among others.

Pop culture journalist Andy Greenwald created this stylish new blend of crime drama and pulp fiction, an anthology series that will feature one 10-episode close-ended story each season. Adapted from a novel by Ross Thomas, this freshman outing stars Rosario Dawson as tough private eye Allegra Dill, who returns to her hometown on the Texas-Mexico border to investigat­e her sister’s murder. Jay R. Ferguson, Edi Gathegi, Brian Geraghty and Kim Dickens also star, with Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail among the show’s executive producers.

Indebted

This new sitcom from Dan Levy (The Goldbergs) charts a major upheaval in the lives of young parents Dave and Rebecca (Adam Pally, Abby Elliott) when his mother and father (comedy veterans Fran Drescher and Steven Weber, pictured) show up unannounce­d. They’re broke, leaving Dave with no choice but to take in these “boomerang parents” who gave him everything when he was younger. Unfortunat­ely, they’re not too keen on personal boundaries.

Multiple Emmy winner Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie, The Sopranos) makes a welcome return to prime-time TV in this new police drama from executive producer Paul Attanasio (Homicide: Life on the Street), which casts the actress as Abigail “Tommy” Thomas, a former topranked NYPD officer who becomes the first female police chief for Los Angeles. Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Thomas Sadoski and Russell G. Jones also star.
