In the months since then, however, Kaitlyn suffered another catastrophe in the form of a near-fatal car accident. Now Robert has returned to pull together a major event he hopes will help Kaitlyn with her mounting medical bills.

When an operation suddenly and disastrously goes off the rails, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and the rest of the team has to cope with a proverbial monster in their own house before it can take down and destroy each of them, one after another, in the new episode “Existential Ennui.” Meanwhile, Director Weitz (Aaron Abrams) is drawn into a ferocious game of psychological chess as Madeline Burke (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) coolly sizes up his loyalty to her as she tries to root out a potential mole in the FBI.
