Elizabeth Deering Carter, Santa Fe, July 1 Martin “Marty” Cary Horowitz, 70, July 2 USAF 1st Lt. David John Schmitz, 32, June 30, South Carolina

Elizabeth Deering Carter was born October 19th, 1963 in Flint, Michigan and passed into the arms of God on July 1st, 2020 in Sant New Mexico. Elizabeth was born to Ralph Edward Deering and Barbar Johnson Deering. She was mostly called Beth in her hometown of Flint, Michigan and especially by her siblings, Lainey (Deceased in 1991) and brothers, Ralph Scott and Albert “Bud” Deering. Elizabeth was blessed to have three nieces, one nephew, two great- ephews and two great-nieces. She considered it a privilege to be able to help raise some of her younger family members and also loved being involved and ministerin­g with

After moving to Santa Fe Elizabeth married Eddie Carter on September 3rd, 2011. She was very involved in the local Christian community and stated the following about her spiritual experience.

“Through this journey I have learned what God has for me; that God is in control and the best place to be is in His arms and to accept the life

He planned for me.”

A celebratio­n of Elizabeth’s life will be held at The Light at Mission Viejo Church, 406 Mission Bend, Santa Fe, 87507 on Friday, July 10th at 12 p.m. All attendees will be asked to wear masks and follow social distancing. The memorial service will also be streamed on Facebook at The Light at Mission Viejo page. Flowers for the service or cards for Elizabeth’s husband, Eddie Carter, can also be sent to the church address.
