Anyone who has ever been to New Orleans has tried Cajun.
Whether it’s at a fine-dining establishment, a diner or even an airport snack bar, the cuisine is a constant presence in the Crescent City and many who have visited there have gotten hooked.
From gumbo and jambalaya to etouffe and seafood boils, there certainly is a lot to like and if you fall into that category, you might even want to try your hand at a recipe or two.
Toward that end, there are a number of amateur and professional chefs online who can give you guidance. So boot up the laptop or tablet and take in some video knowledge from these experts.

You can’t go wrong with Emeril.
Cajun Cooking TV (www.youtube.com/user/mikestokes1): Baton Rouge, La., native Beryl Stokes is your host for this informative series of weekly videos aimed at working folks that walks them through the steps of making restaurant-quality Cajun meals at home. Its nearly 150 videos show how to make not only things like beignets and shrimp and grits but also explain the finer points of cooking with a cast-iron skillet.
Creative Cajun Cooking (creativecajuncooking. com): Mixed in with recipes and ads for its catering service and Cajun food products are dozens of howto videos for dishes such as a swamp burger, a Mardi Gras dip, a Cajun prime rib and redfish buras. And for a side, there is a gator pickle potato salad – which, by the way, contains no gator meat.

But not to worry, seafood lovers, there are also shrimp, redfish and crab recipes as well.
