Indeed, in the “Good Eats” section of the Foxowned, ad-supported streaming service can be found dozens of titles from around the world, ranging from how-to’s and competition series to travelogs and documentaries, featuring culinary luminaries such as Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain, Lidia Bastianich, Mary Berry and even Julia Child.

It’s a veritable cornucopia of content bound to interest any self-respecting foodie and best of all, it’s free. The following is a taste of what’s there.

“Lidia’s Kitchen”: She may be best known for Italian cuisine but Lidia Bastianich is actually a very versatile chef. Here in episodes from her PBS series, she takes on preparing everything from eggs and chicken to fruit desserts and cooking with wine. And yes, there are plenty of Italian recipes to be found. Deliziosa!

“Fluffy’s Food Adventures”: Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias hits the road, the dinner table and the gym in this travel/food series that aired on the cablenet Fuse from 2015-17, which in each episode finds him venturing to a different American city, downing a sinful feast and then burning off all those calories through larger-than-life physical challenges, the latter of which he admits is not his favorite thing to do.

“Anthony Bourdain: A Cook’s Tour”: It’s food, it’s travel, it’s Bourdain and his inimitable storytelling – need we say more? Originally aired on Food Network in 2002-03, this series follows the late chef, author and host as he visits exotic countries and cities worldwide, where hosts treat him to local culture and cuisine. Among his stops are Tokyo, France, Cape Cod and Vietnam – where one of his more notable meals is cobra heart. Cuisine based on a dare.

“The French Chef ”: It’s probably the granddaddy (or in this case grandmommy) of the cooking genre and it made French cuisine approachable and Julia Child a household name to American viewers. In black-and-white episodes from Seasons 6 and 7, the legendary chef demonstrates the preparations for creations such as petit fours, osso bucco, a swordfish dinner and sauteed brains. She also makes mayonnaise by hand. An education in a half hour from one of the true masters.

“Cook Like a Chef ”: From Canada comes this innovative series that features five young chefs as they explore and explain a myriad of cooking techniques, breaking them down step by step, and sharing kitchen tips, hacks and secrets. A few more tools for the home chef ’s toolbox.

“Kitchen Nightmares”: Gordon Ramsay is wellrepresented on this platform, led by this series that finds him administering advice and some tough love to struggling restaurateurs. Other Ramsay titles here include “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back,” “Gordon’s Great Escape,” “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Gordon Ramsey’s Ultimate Cookery Course.”
