North Carolina-born real estate broker, entrepreneur and community organization founder Matt James, pictured, goes looking for love in the title role of this hit relationship series as it opens Season 25. This edition’s Bachelor now lives in New York, where he founded an organization designed to find creative ways to engage young people from under-served communities in the area, encouraging both physical and mental wellness. Chris Harrison returns to his familiar role as host.
7 p.m. on HGTV Celebrity IOU
Actor Rainn Wilson (The Office) delivers a major surprise to his son’s nanny, Leslie,in the form of a home makeover. After dramatically wielding Viking weapons and working out personal tensions during the demolition stage of the process, Rainn works with Drew and Jonathan Scott to completely update Leslie’s home, including adding a new kitchen, deck and more.
9 p.m. on NBC The Wall
Chris Hardwick returns as host as one of the simplest yet most suspenseful game shows on television opens Season 4. Teammates can receive some truly life-changing cash prizes simply by answering a question correctly. Tonight’s contestants are Lisa and Dan, a married couple from Wanatah, Ind. Lisa is a mental health counselor who started a nonprofit confidence camp for young women called Own It; Dan is a construction analyst and woodworker who likes to donate his crafts to his community.
9 p.m. on ABC The Hustler
Comic and actor Craig Ferguson hosts this diabolical new game show in which five contestants collaborate to answer questions worth $10,000 each. One of them — the Hustler — knows the answers in advance, however. As the game unfolds, the Hustler anonymously eliminates two of the players, leaving three contestants, one of them the Hustler. That last trio must collectively decide which of them is the Hustler. If the Hustler evades detection, he snags the team’s communal earnings. If he is unmasked, though, the other two players split the pot.
