To Tell the Truth

Anthony Anderson and his sidekick (and mom) Mama Doris return for Season 6 of this reboot of the vintage TV game show in which a celebrity panel begins each round of play by meeting three people, all of whom claim to be the same person with a noteworthy talent, job or achievement. One of them is the genuine article and has sworn to answer any questions truthfully, but the other two are free to use any deceptions they come up with to trick the panel.

7 p.m. on CBS

NCIS

After receiving confidential information regarding weapon-smuggling, Bishop and Torres (Emily Wickersham, Wilmer Valderrama) subsequently become engaged in a deadly shootout in a former sheriff’s residence that has been designated a historical site. When events take an unforeseen turn, however, the agents find themselves locked in abandoned jail cells on the premises in the new episode “1mm.” Chris Boudreaux guest stars; Mark Harmon and Sean Murray also star.

Mixed-ish

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it: That seems to be the creative mantra of this well-written and -acted Black-ish prequel, which somewhat flew under the radar with viewers during its first season, despite critical praise. As we return to 1980s-era America for Season 2, watch for young Rainbow Johnson (Arica Himmel, pictured) and her siblings to continue searching for an identity in a world where many others see them as neither black nor white. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tika Sumpter and Gary Cole also return.

The Misery Index

Inspired by a popular card game with a rude name, this comedy game show returns for its second season with host Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) and her panelists — Impractical Jokers stars Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano — back for more fun. The game element finds teams competing to rate miserable yet amusing life events based on a “misery index” created by a team of therapists. This season’s special guest stars include Joel McHale, football star Travis Kelce and Joe Moxley from All Elite Wrestling.
