Former first lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey and actor-composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with front-line workers and medical professionals, are among those teaming up for this new hourlong special designed to raise awareness on vaccinations for the coronavirus. An NBC spokesperson says the special is designed to provide information and dispel concerns on the part of those who are hesitant to receive a vaccination or are skeptical of its safety or efficacy.

Tournament of Champions
In “A Champion Is Crowned,” the Season 2 finale, host Guy Fieri welcomes the remaining chefs to the tournament’s intense semifinal battles. When the dust settles, the two remaining finalists square off one last time before the winner gets to take home a grand haul: the championship belt, a brand-new SUV and a very special mystery prize. Justin Warner and Simon Majumdar also appear.

56th Academy of Country Music Awards
These annual awards, which honor the biggest names and emerging new talent in country music, return to Nashville, Tenn., in a broadcast originating from three of the city’s most revered performing venues: the Grand Ole Opry House, historic Ryman Auditorium and the Bluebird Cafe. Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton lead the pack of nominees with six nods apiece; Miranda Lambert follows with five nominations. For the first time in history, four Black artists — John Legend, Jimmie Allen, Kane Brown and Mickey Guyton, pictured, — are nominated in the same year.

Mare of Easttown
This gripping new character-driven limited series from Brad Ingelsby (The Way Back) stars Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kate Winslet as Mare Sheehan, a smalltown Pennsylvania detective who investigates a murder as her own life crumbles around her. In the premiere, “Miss Lady Hawk Herself,” Mare’s response to a call about a prowler leads to her chief (John Douglas Thompson) instructing her to revive a missing-person cold case. The cast also includes Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Guy Pearce, Evan Peters and David Denman.
