JOEY MARIO SALAZAR

Joey Mario Salazar, age 35, beloved father, son, and brother peacefully made the transition into eternal life on March 22, 2021, while surrounded by his loving family. Joey was born in Denver, CO on March 6, 1986 and raised in Santa Fe, NM.

Our sweet Joey was a God-fearing man, loving father, son, and brother. Joey loved to bring peace to the family and make everyone laugh. He absolutely loved having his family together. Growing up, his favorite thing to do was watch his grandpa work on vehicles while learning to navigate under the hood himself. Joey was very skilled and was able to master anything he did. He was such a persuasive soul, his oldest sister Shay always thought he would make for a great salesman. His face lit up when he would talk about his son Joey Jr., and how proud he was to be his dad. Joey loved being the oldest brother and ensured all his siblings were always safe. He was our protector. He planted many seeds and spread joy everywhere he went. Joey loved speaking to and spending time with the love of his life, mother of his son, Amy Salazar.

Joey was preceded in death by his grandpa, Carlos Salazar and aunt, Lisa Salazar. Joey is survived by his son, Joey Jr., mother Stella Salazar, siblings Shana and husband Daniel Roybal, Patricia Salazar, Michael Armijo, and April Armijo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

As Joey will forever be missed on Earth, we are blessed to have such a loving soul and angel watch over us until we are able to meet him in Heaven.

Please join us in a celebration of his life on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Church in Santa Fe, NM following a reception in Youngsville, NM.
