Movie: The Enchanted Christmas Cake

In the midst of grieving the recent loss of her grandmother, Gwen (Erica Durance, Smallville) struggles to run the bakery the two of them used to manage together, while also trying to summon some Christmas spirit. Most critically, though, she must figure out her grandmother’s magical recipe for a Christmas cake that has become something of a local legend. When an elite chef comes to town to film a seasonal special, though, she agrees to help the producer (Robin Dunne). Brandon Ludwig and Kyana Teresa also star.

Young Rock

A holiday episode called “A Christmas Peril” opens on Christmas Eve 1982, as an unexpected guest reveals to 10-year-old Dewey (Adrian Groulx) that this will just be the first in a long string of lousy Christmases. Five years later, the 1987 holiday season finds Rocky (Joseph Anderson) and teenage Dwayne (Bradley Constant) working at a mall as Santa and his elf. Finally, young adult Dwayne (Uli Latukefu) spends a disastrous Christmas in 1993 with Coach O (recurring guest star Emmett Skilton).

Survivor

The coronavirus pandemic delayed production on Season 41 of the reality competition series, but Survivor producers took advantage of that on-hold period to freshen the format of their show, which included making the season markedly shorter: 26 days, instead of the traditional 39. Set for the ninth time in Fiji, the season premiered last September with 18 new contestants, among them NFL veteran Danny McCray. Tonight’s three-hour finale will crown the newest Survivor champion. Jeff Probst, pictured, hosts.

iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2021

The performance roster is still being put together, but as usual, this year’s edition of the 90-minute holiday music event celebrates the season with songs by some of the hottest recording stars of 2021. If you miss tonight’s premiere of this star-studded event, not to worry: The CW already has scheduled an encore to air on Christmas night.
