6 p.m. on LIFE Movie: The Christmas Ball

Ballerina Clare Fitzgerald (Deirdre Mullins) is let go from her usual holiday role in The Nutcracker, so she accepts her Aunt Bridget’s (Caroline Langrishe) invitation to spend the holidays with her in England. While abroad, Clare meets local historian Liam (Nick Hendrix, Midsomer Murders), who is helping Bridget preserve the family manor. He and Clare pool their fields of expertise to hold a Christmas Regency Ball to help Bridget score points with the preservati­on society in this delightful holiday romance. Richard Lintern (Silent Witness) co-stars.

Recently renewed for a second season to premiere in 2022, this contempora­ry reboot of a vintage TV series returns with a special two-hour holiday episode called “Welcome to the Snow Globe.” The story finds island host Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez, pictured right) tested in unexpected ways by a businesswo­man’s (guest star Lindsey Kraft) fantasy of a perfect Christmas, which includes meeting “Mr. Right” (guest star Eddie Cahill). Another arrival (guest star Mackenzie Astin) is forced to confront his past, while Ruby (Kiara Barnes, pictured left) and Javier (John Gabriel Rodriguez) look to the future.

7 p.m. on OWN Movie: Song & Story: Amazing Grace

Airing as part of a new series of Song & Story original dramas inspired by seminal songs, this first entry reflects the themes of challenge and triumph as stated so eloquently in the beloved hymn Amazing Grace. Bresha Webb (The Last O.G.) stars as Tanner, a gifted artist struggling with some formidable personal obstacles, who forms an unlikely friendship with Iris (Getenesh Berhe), an optimistic store owner. She helps guide Tanner toward forgivenes­s of her painful past and a way to unlock her inner strength.

As Tray (Tracy Morgan) excitedly prepares for his kids’ graduation, he is interrupte­d by someone who makes a shady request of him in the new episode “The Payback.” Later, Veesy (Da’vine Joy Randolph) begins to see Tray in a new light after he helps a troubled student out of a jam. Elsewhere, Shahzad (Dante Hoagland) gets stressed out over having to give a graduation speech. Ryan Gaul and Taylor Mosby also star.
