6 p.m. on HALL Movie: The Wedding Veil
Hallmark Channel hasn’t released much in the way of story information for this new romance starring Lacey Chabert and Kevin McGarry, apart from the fact that it’s the first installment in a trilogy of interlinked films about three close-knit yet far-flung friends from college who get together annually for a trip. During one of those reunions, they stumble across an enchanted antique that changes each of their lives. Autumn Reeser and Alison Sweeney round out the trio. The films are loosely based on a book by Lori Wilde.
6 p.m. on HBO Movie: The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard
Following the runaway success of his 2017 action comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard, director Patrick Hughes returned to helm this 2021 sequel, with Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, both pictured, Salma Hayek and Richard E. Grant reprising their roles from the original. The new story follows suspended bodyguard Michael Bryce (Reynolds) as he very reluctantly re-teams with hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson) and his wife (Hayek) to stop a madman (Antonio Banderas) plotting a terror attack in Europe.
7 p.m. on A&E BTK: Confession of a Serial Killer
This four-episode, two-night true crime documentary, which concludes Sunday, dives into the twisted psyche and horrific crimes committed by serial killer Dennis Rader, who currently is serving 10 consecutive life sentences in Kansas’ El Dorado Correctional Facility. Author and forensic psychologist Dr. Katherine Ramsland, who has been corresponding with Rader for a decade, reveals intimate details of Rader’s personal past, as well as his gruesome crimes, contributing insights she hopes will help law enforcement and criminologists identify violent offenders in the future. Another episode follows.
