In this new home renovation series, Paul O’Leary, Helen Parker and Robin McLellan of deVOL Kitchens and their skilled team of artisans craft beautiful kitchens and furnishings for their clients from their 16th-century water mill turned workshop in the heart of the English countryside. The series premiere, “A Kitchen Fit for a Castle,” finds Paul and Helen in Cornwall, where they are challenged to rescue their clients’ existing kitchen. However, they also need to maintain the cohesive design that ties the house together.

Airing in conjunction with Earth Month, this new two-hour special touches base with conservationist Dr. M. Sanjayan, pictured, as he checks on current conditions in seven of Earth’s bellwether biomes stretching from the Arctic down to the Amazon. This annual wellness check is part of Sanjayan’s unprecedented seven-year global effort to monitor the health of Mother Earth. The special includes the latest science and most eloquent local voices in the ongoing climate crisis, pointing out positive change, cautionary notes and reasons for hope.

This new documentary chronicles the final professional chapter in the life of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, including how his friends and band colleagues staged an unforgettable tribute concert at Wembley Stadium after Mercury died from AIDS. The film, which airs here on the 30th anniversary of the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, features extensive footage from that epic musical event, as well as behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage and interviews with Mercury’s Queen colleagues Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Host Kim Wolfe once again comes to the rescue of a family with a bad case of buyer’s remorse in the new episode “Clash of the Decades.” The West family originally fell for the nostalgic feel of their vintage house, but the lack of modern conveniences is giving them cause to regret their hasty purchase. Kim manages to give them a functional, modern home to live in, while also preserving the period charm that first worked its magic.
