BEN AFFLECK’S TOP 10 MOVIES
“The Way Back” (2020): An excellent Affleck plays a former athletic star who tries to redeem himself by returning to his alma mater as a basketball coach.
“The Accountant” (2016): Affleck has more than math in mind, and very effectively, in this action drama about a numbers counter who gets quite physical to protect a whistleblower (Anna Kendrick).
“Gone Girl” (2014): Director David Fincher’s version of Gillian Flynn’s best seller casts Affleck as a husband who becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife (Rosamund Pike).
“Argo” (2012): Affleck won an Oscar as best director for this superb true-life drama, in which he also plays a CIA agent trying to spirit several Americans out of Iran during the hostage crisis.
“The Town” (2010): Leaping big as a director, Affleck also stars in this crime drama that’s stolen by Jeremy Renner as a short-fused member of his gang.
