No doubt that nature will call during the lengthy St. Patrick's Day parade, comprised this 200th anniversary of more than 350 floats, marching bands, cars and trolleys, Irish family clans, and more. No matter where you camp to watch and celebrate, it's good to know where to go ahead of time.

Here's an insider's guide to the St. Pat's potty patrol:

Where are the public bathrooms for St. Patrick's Day in Savannah?

Some parade veterans go as far as to reserve their own port-a-potty, but if you're in a pinch the City of Savannah brings in hundreds of extra porta-potties each year to accommodate the thousands of visitors for the holiday.

Public restrooms can be found at Forsyth Park, Ellis Square and the River Street Hospitality Center.

There are also public restroom facilities located downtown at Bryan Street Garage, Liberty Street Garage, and the Visitor Center. A map of the restrooms are on the city's website.

If you are a patron of a restaurant, you may use their restrooms, and certain places, such as the DeSoto Hotel will allow those who partook of their annual Irish breakfast to partake of their restrooms just by showing their wristbands throughout the day. The $35 per person price tag is well worth the investment, considering the price of a fine.

What happens if I pee in public?

The highest number of arrests each year during St. Patrick's Day weekend? Public urination.

And it's costly. You will be fined $200 for public urination, and don't think that law enforcement isn't on the lookout for St. Pat's party poopers.

"Just so we're clear: as your parents probably made clear to you by the age of three, the only proper place to pee is in a potty," the City of Savannah has on its website, where it has provided a whole host of public safety tips.
