STEVE ELLMAN started out in journalism as a barefoot copy boy for the East Village Other and has written about a wide variety of topics for more than 40 years. He holds a degree in cinema from SUNY Binghamton and was a staff writer for the New York Rocker and the Daily Business Review. He lives in South Florida with his wife, son and five cats.
LISA GERARD-SHARP is an award-winning travel and cruise journalist who lives in the French Riviera and London — when not chugging along the Canal du Midi, the Venetian waterways or the Panama Canal. Lisa contributes to international glossies as diverse as National Geographic Traveller and Vogue, as well as to The Telegraph, The Sunday Times and CNN Travel. As an expert on France, Italy and cruising, she has penned guides to the Cote d’Azur, Venice, Sicily and Caribbean cruising. Lisa’s cosmopolitan background meant that travel writing was the only alternative to founding an import-export food business — although British, she has an Italian husband, American sisters and an Australian mother.
STEPHEN GRASSO is a freelance writer and world traveler currently based in Hialeah, Florida, previously from London, UK, and originally from Newcastle. He writes about music, film and culture, and is working on his first novel.
RAFE KLINGER lives in Delray Beach, Florida, and has written for The Palm Beach Post and Fort Lauderdale’s Sun-Sentinel, and contributed to the GLOBE, National Enquirer and overseas magazines in Italy and Australia. He views his extensive travels as an explorer views a discovery — an adventure of the body, senses, mind and spirit that shatters preconceived notions and delivers a new understanding of the Earth, living creatures and the Universe itself. And for the writer, travel provides that vital essential — fuel for the imagination.
GARRY MESSICK is a freelance writer and editor who lives in South Florida with his wife and daughter. He’s also a screenwriter and filmmaker and hopes to direct his first feature film later this year.
JOHN and SANDRA NOWLAN are travel and food writers based in the port city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cruising has been their passion for the past decade and they have traveled to and written about all seven continents. Their articles and photographs have appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout Canada, the United States, and Australia.
