City man charged with rape, sex assaults in February

LEOMINSTER » Charged with three sexual-related offenses, a city man appeared by video conference on Friday to determine a date for a probable cause hearing that could lead the case being moved to Superior Court, according to court and police documents.

According to a police report, Angel Robles, 52, of Lincoln Terrace,

while at a private residence in July 2018, forced a victim over 14 years old to engage in three unwanted sexual acts.

The victim told police they told Robles to stop, but he didn’t.

When arraigned on two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, and rape in February, Robles, who pleaded not guilty, was ordered held in lieu of posting a $7,500 cash bail or $75,000 surety bond, according to court documents.

Since the arraignmen­t, the case was continued

several times until a video conference was held on Friday and set the date for a probable cause hearing on the charges for Oct. 16, according to court documents. A spokespers­on for the Worcester County Sheriff ’s Office said Robles remained in custody at the House of Correction.

Fitchburg man wanted on drug charges arrested

LEOMINSTER » Acting on informatio­n from a tip, the State Police Gang Unit located and arrested a Fitchburg man wanted on drug dealing charges and additional charges when narcotics were found in his backpack, according to court and police docu

ments.

The reporting State Police trooper said that on July 23, Matthew Donahue, 30, of 52 Carriage Way, was spotted by officers riding as a passenger in a Subaru on Lancaster Street in Leominster. A trooper stopped the Subaru for an expired inspection sticker and immediatel­y placed Donahue under arrest for the three outstandin­g warrants out of Fitchburg.

Those charges occurred in March with Donahue was spotted by undercover officers in Fitchburg’s Salvation Army parking lot conducting a drug transactio­n from his motor vehicle, according to court records.

When officers moved in,

Donahue fled on foot, leaving the motor vehicle he was in running. When the vehicle was searched officers discovered plastic baggies containing cocaine and heroin or fentanyl.

Once officers removed Donahue from the Subaru, they spotted a backpack that Donahue said contained narcotics, the trooper reported.

After a search of the bag, officers discovered 92 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of heroin, 2 grams of ecstasy, and eight Suboxone films, the trooper reported.

As a result, Donahue was charged with traffickin­g more than 36 and less than 100 grams of cocaine, traffickin­g more that 10 and less than 36 grams of

fentanyl and two counts of drug possession, according to court documents.

When arraigned in July, Donahue, who pleaded not guilty, was ordered held in lieu of a $5,000 cash bail or $50,000 surety bond, according to court documents.

He remains detained at the Worcester County House of Correction, according to a spokespers­on there.

Donahue will return to court on Oct. 16 for a probable cause hearing.

Fitchburg woman charged with drug traffickin­g

FITCHBURG » After executing a search warrant at a residence on Chester

Street on Aug. 31, a woman was charged with traffickin­g cocaine and fentanyl, according to police and court documents.

Once completed with searching the residence of Madalyn M. Quinones, 28, of 172 Chester St., officers discovered and seized 28.4 grams of heroin or fentanyl and 26 grams of crack cocaine, police said.

Quinones was charged with one count of traffickin­g more than 10 grams of fentanyl and traffickin­g more than 18 and less than 36 grams of cocaine, according to court documents. No bail arrangemen­ts were included in court documents, but Quinones was in court Monday for a pretrial hearing.
