Media silencing conservative voices

-

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?

If a conservative writes a letter to the editor and it’s never published, do those conservative views cease to exist?

On Sunday, Oct. 4, a local newspaper in Nashua published 24 letters to the editor. Twenty-one were pro-Democrat or anti-Trump. Just two were pro-Republican. Are we to believe that conservatives don’t write letters to the editor?

In 2016, the media was telling us Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide. That didn’t happen. Millions of Hillary Clinton supporters were shocked. How could this happen?

If the media is tamping down the level of support for Donald Trump then, yes, I could see how a Trump victory would seem to come out of left field. Even now, after four years, there are hundreds of thousands of Hillary supporters that still don’t get it. How much blame should the media get for that? Quite a bit, I believe.

When the electorate is carefully spoon-fed certain polls over others to achieve a desired goal, then we all lose, no matter the party. If you ignore viewpoints from conservatives, those views don’t just go away. What goes away is an honest representation of the views of the electorate as we head into November.

We see the same thing play out regarding global warming. Those with opposing views are ignored, their voices silenced.

Can Trump win again? You bet he can, no matter how much the media tries to tamp down his support. So, if that tree falls in the forest, maybe that sound is a Trump victory that, once again, seemingly comes out of left field.
